Proposed urban design for Chapel Street, Salford. The Design has been generated as an output of my Urban Design Masters Dissertation. The U-FARM (Urban-Food Access Review by Morphological level) framework developed as an output of the MA Urban Design dissertation 2011. Completed @ The Joint Centre for Urban design (Oxford Brookes University)

Update 2025. I see that the land opposite Salford Cathedral has been 'developed' mostly using an outdated monolithic single aspect apartment block type - which is disapointing. This is capital development for developers rather than lifetime homes for people. The dual aspect townhouses are OK. Duals aspect / double fronted linear or perimeter blocks of flats and /or duplexes would have worked well along side the townhouses.
